SWCS Botball Team 2017

What is Botball?

Botball is a global educational robotics program that focuses on engaging middle and high school students in a team-oriented robotics competition.

Every year, teams can participate in several Botball competitions: a Regional Botball Tournament, the Global Conference on Educational Robotics (GCER) or the European Conference on Educational Robotics (ECER). The Oklahoma regional tournament will be held at the State Fair Grounds on March 17. This year, GCER will take place in Indian Wells, California July 25-29.

Southwest Covenant Botball team competed in the Oklahoma tournament at Norman Highschool against 48 other teams from Oklahoma and Texas. In the morning the team competed in the seeding rounds and finished in first place. After lunch in the double elimination contest we were undefeated until we were sabatoged by Norman which brought us down to 2nd place in double elimination. The 1st in seeding, the 2nd in double elimination and a perfect score in documenation togeather gave us 1st overall in the tournament totaling to three trophies won during the tournament.
