OUR STORY

Southwest Covenant Schools was founded in 1982 by Dr. Jack “Van” Hough as an independent, Biblically-integrated educational ministry under the spiritual guidance of Covenant Community Church.  Beginning as a Pre-K through 8th grade school meeting in the educational wing of CCC, Southwest Covenant has expanded through 12th grade with both elementary and secondary buildings.  SWCS has graduated over 390 students and anticipates more growth as a building campaign for a high school building is underway.  Southwest Covenant’s success is solely contributed to God’s continued favor through like-minded families who desire to educate and equip our students to impact the world for Christ.

OUR COMMUNITY

Located on the western boundary of Oklahoma City, Yukon is one of the largest growing suburban cities in Oklahoma.  With a growing population of 25,000 strong, it is known for its American Indian and Czech Heritage.  Yukon Mill and Grain Company and Route 66 run through the heart of downtown Yukon.  Because of its rural and blue-collar history, SWCS has intentionally sought to keep tuition at a reasonable rate for working families.

OUR MISSION

Southwest Covenant Schools is a discipleship ministry educating and equipping students to influence the world for Christ.

It is the policy of the Board of Directors of Southwest Covenant Schools that students not be ranked. Due to the large percentage of students that are academically strong, the ranking of students does not provide an accurate reflection of the student's ability.

Valedictorians have the highest cumulative grade point average.

Salutatorians have a minimum of a 3.85 grade point average.
