Are the teachers Christians?
Absolutely. The primary qualification in our selection of teachers is their relationship with our Lord. We consider them to be living testimonies validating our curriculum, which is based on the centrality of God being the holder of all truth. In order to fufill this critical role, they must be active Christians.

Do students attend chapel services?
Chapels are held once per week at the elementary and a minimum of twice per month at the secondary. The elementary conducts a devotional opening every school day. We strive to have good quality chapel presentations often using guest speakers. Student led worship at the secondary is also an important aspect of our training/chapel programs.

Do you have to be a Christian?
Our ministry is an extension of Christian families. We understand that small children may not yet have made a decision for Christ. However, our registration requirements include a written testimonial from parents sharing how they came to know Christ as Savior and Lord. This is also a question posed to all student applicants during the interview process.

Do you provide before / after school childcare?
Yes, SWCS does provide after school childcare. Children can be placed in Patriot Place on school days from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Currently there is no before school care.

How do you address creationism?
Students are taught the Biblical truths concerning creation and the Biblical and scientific evidence verifying the authenticity of creationism. We believe that this distinctive Christian worldview is necessary and foundational for the basis of all subjects and has particular application to the disciplines of science. We believe that " the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host...for He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast." Psalm 33; 6,9,. We believe that man was created by an immediate and direct act of God and in His image. (Genesis 1: 26-28; 2:7; and 5: 1-2). We believe God and His Word and thus look to science to confirm the truths of Scripture. Because of this, we believe in a literal six solar day creation, a catastrophic world flood, and a young earth.
